Our History
Diamondback was founded by two friends, John Smith and Mike Wilson, who shared a passion for woodworking and home improvement. As avid DIYers themselves, they were frequently frustrated by the limitations of affordable tile saws available at the time. The saws were either flimsy, underpowered, or lacked key features for efficiently cutting tiles.
John and Mike knew they could create something better. After months of research and development, they launched the first Diamondback tile saw in 2009. It featured a powerful motor, solid steel frame, adjustable table, and integrated water reservoir for wet cutting. The saw exceeded their expectations and quickly developed a following amongst tile installers impressed with its capabilities.
Buoyed by the initial success, John and Mike made the leap into forming a proper company dedicated to tile saw manufacturing. They brought on a small staff to assist with product development, sales, and operations. Word of mouth continued to drive adoption as tile professionals shared their positive experiences with the Diamondback saw.
